Carnival
04:38

In a vast, wasted landscape
Among the ruins, one will find a message
Written on fading papers
Carved into stone
It says “Reach for the stars”
And in my time, I hear it
Playing on repeat, a carnival song
Blasting out the speakers
Sung in every hall
It says, “Reach for the stars”
Well I don’t know about that
But I know
We can’t simply go back
Yes I know
The old roads are all gone
And the carnival song plays on

The Stars
03:24
|

For a time, mirages seemed more present
Than what I could touch and feel
For a time, the stars glimmer was more alluring
Than the path I had walked, and knew was real
The Earth underneath my feet
Called to me constantly
Though neglected, it said…
What if don’t reach for the stars?
What if we just love what is ours?
What if don’t reach for the stars?
What if we just love what is ours?
Do you think that could be enough for us?
Might win big if we wager
Might find treasure if we roam
But honestly, I’ve never found no riches
More precious than a place I could call my home
So, what if don’t reach for the stars?
What if we just love what is ours?
What if don’t reach for the stars?
What if we just love what is ours?
Do you think that could be enough for us?
