Track Name: The Person Next to You
We’re backed up against a wall.
The tower is tilting, bound to fall.
We all saw it coming, new it well.
We all know we did this to ourselves.

But I’ll remember the good words said,
Repeating in my head.
They still ring true.
You gotta just love the person next to you.

Been burning the candle at both ends
The time’s coming soon. You’ll find out who’s your friend.
When soldiers are marching around the bend,
And no telling which innocent lives will end.
When there’s not enough left for all to live,
If you’re not a taker, how much will you give?

In times like these, you got to remember
The good words said.
They’re repeating in my head
They still ring true.
You gotta just love the person next to you.

Just be the one who will still be there to
Love the person next you
Track Name: Same Old, Same Old
Same old, same old -why bother?
This current failure will be the father
Of the next disappointing path
Of half-hearted gestures at a life lived for something.
It feels like nothing yet again.

But then it’s same old, same old
I get some sense
Knocked into me while I’m on the fence
Over whether anything is worth a damn
I’m dropped like sand through an hour glass
Into the waters that carry me past
All that has been -turning outside in
And everything’s new that I find
Much like everything everytime

So it’s just the same old, same old
Always winds up like this
With nothing the same, still it’s much as it always is
Same old same old

A mind twists itself countless times in a moment
Like a million little mental suicides
Suffering through to that place past the torment
When all the commotion subsides.

When all avenues shut down
And no single thought can survive
There’s no stream of words I can say to you
That will not be caught as a lie
Save for this one -simple, cliche but true
I love you

Same old, same old
But would it maybe ease our minds?
If we could call it just good enough
If only just until next time.
Same old same old.
Track Name: Machinery
Take a look at what we’ve come to.
There’s nothing left for a heart to do
With upkeep of convention owning you.

I don’t wanna be turning a wheel in the machinery.
Brothers, sisters, ground in gears, stain the rusted scenery.
What can we trust to guide
When the exits all lead back inside?

No time to breath
Growth mustn’t be held back
No space to move
Must fill in all the cracks

This is not what we were promised.
This is not how the plans read.
So can we now just be honest?
This is not what the theories said
This is not what e were promised.
This is not what they said.
So can we now just be honest?
This is not the story we’ve been fed.

I don’t wanna be turning a wheel in the -I don’t wanna be turning.
I don’t wanna be turning a wheel in the machinery.
Brothers, sisters, ground in gears, stain the rusted scenery.
And I don’t wanna be -I don’t wanna be turning this wheel no more.
I don’t wanna be turning.
Track Name: If I Promise
This may not be the vision we hold.
It aint the one we’ve been sold.
But everyone, no matter what they have bought,
Must find for themselves: What is is not what they thought

And if it’s the last straining breath of the modern times
Would you feel as I do?
With all torn asunder, all we have’s each other.
Would you keep yourself together if I promise to?

I must confess that I feel,
More than distress, a strange appeal
In the thought that all we know will soon be
Some vague and distant memory.
Could it be?

And if it’s the last straining breath of the modern times
Would you feel as I do?
With all torn asunder, all we have’s each other.
Would you keep yourself together would you?

If I’ll be there at the crumbling fall,
If only to be a comfort for you through it all,
It’s reason enough to not just give up.
So what do you say? Would you be that for me?
Tell me, would you?
Track Name: Strings
Puppeteering me,
I’ve had marionette strings on.
Do you know the feeling
Like you’re life is somebody else's song?

A blueprint’s already made; a standardized prophecy.
You must fulfill this chosen destiny.

Suffocating, my heart’s voice fading
Under a thick crust.
Made to adjust,
But one must sacrifice too much
For a vision, upon us thrust

In failing to make, of myself, this plan
I’ve found something else in store
In crahing into walls,
I found my way through an open door.
And puppeteering strings I’ve known so long,
Suddenly they’re no more.
Track Name: Mere Words
Gone are the Pillars on which I have leaned.
Empty are the words that once seemed such wisdom gleaned

Freedom, terrifying freedom
In a dark and vast expanse
Is freedom just the name of the new
Puppeteer in this new trance

Love, you destroy and create worlds,
Resting on the edge of a knife.
Love is the name of the one
Who removes me and replaces with life.

Peace you lofty masking of a suicide
Comforting death
Yet peace is the name of the one
Who gives the only life worth breath.

Gone are the Pillars on which I have leaned.
Empty are the words that once seemed such wisdom gleaned
Track Name: This Flower
This flower will be wilting soon.
This flower, for a moment, is in bloom.
This flower will be wilting soon.

Will you pass on by?
No glance to the side?
Just another and time is wasting.
Be on your way.

This flower is wilting now,
But I know there are still secrets to be learned.
This flower may be wilting now,
But I know there are still secrets to be learned here.
Change the lens. Look again.
Do you see?

There are still secrets to be learned.
